Emergency services attend after serious injury at Chadstone construction site

Shortly before 9:45am, emergency services attended the Middle Rd construction site after a 'structure' collapse was reported, causing serious injury to a worker. Police, Ambulance, Fire Rescue and VIC SES were in attendance.
It is believed a 'cherry picker' type of machine may have collapsed whilst being operated on site causing a crush injury. Worksafe investigators were on scene, while construction in other areas remains suspended for the day.
The incident follows 12 hours of wild windy weather as a vigorous cold front crossed Melbourne.
