Chadstone post office closes down despite petition

Despite an online petition, the post office shop at Chadstone has finally closed down.
Customers wanting to use the post office after its closure were greeted by white 'Apology' banners covering up the entrance, logos and PO Box areas.
This follows a trend of Australia Post cutting costs by closing down post offices. The closure went ahead despite the Chadstone post office being one of the busiest, with queues often reaching the entrance during peak times between 2022 and 2023.
