Largest Shopping Centre in Australia - Chadstone back in the game

With the opening of the new West mall and the numerous specialty boutique stores on the 18th of November 2009, Chadstone Shopping Centre is once again the largest shopping mall in Australia, and the southern hemisphere. The previous mall that held that distinction was Knox City along with its O-zone shopping precinct. It also comes at the same time when Melbourne was touted as the best place in the world for tourism and shopping.
The David Jones multilevel carpark has also been re-vamped, with a pedestrian bridge connecting the newly opened top level carpark with the David Jones department store.
The new carparking spaces bring an unprecedented customer capacity, although with new stores and an ever growing number of customers flowing through the doors, Christmas 2009 will no doubt be a testing time.
