The sheer number of shoppers visiting Chadstone Shopping Centre during the 24 hour shopping marathon has caused intermittent traffic jams on mobile phone networks in the Chadstone area.
The unprecedented ownership of smartphones has led to more and more savvy shoppers
comparing product prices online before making purchasing decisions.
Whilst voice calls can be made without too many drop-outs, internet browsing has become a hit-and-miss affair, with mobile internet speeds slowing to a crawl from time to time, as thousands of shoppers flock to price comparison websites whilst browsing stores at Chadstone.
