New carparks taking shape

It is now clear how the former ACU site will be transformed into a new multi-level (or underground) carpark. Excavations have lowered the ground by some 4 to 5 metres, and steel mesh concrete reinforcements can be seen protruding from the earth. There may possibly even be a tunnel connecting the existing ChadstonePlace underground carpark with the new one.
The Capon St roadblock looks as though it may be cleared within the next few weeks, as the new traffic signals have been installed, and the bitumen has almost been fully laid down.
