Chadstone Target spared from closure

On Friday 22 March, Wesfarmers announced they would close or re-brand many of its Target stores.
Whilst sister Kmart stores performed well, Target stores have been lagging in performance - a victim of Kmart's success. The final nail in the coffin was the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Target store at Chadstone was not earmarked for closure due to it being one of the major anchor department stores. It won't be re-branded due to the existing Kmart store at Chadstone.
