A gaping section of concrete was cut from the new Middle Road footpath. Prior to
Easter, the footpath was closed for several days, however, during Easter, the footpath
was re-opened despite the hazard. Inside the cutaway sat mesh and hessian, causing
a trip hazard, as well as an inconvenience to footpath users, especially cyclists.
It is the second time this year that construction workers have left potentially dangerous hazards on the new footpath.
